The SAACURH Executive Committee or SEC serves as the leadership for the SAACURH Region. Every NACURH region has a regional board similiar to SAACURH, we just call ours the SEC. SEC members are elected from affiliated member schools at the No Frills Conference in March and serve a one year term from NACURH to NACURH (May to May). The SAACURH Director and Associate Director for Business Administration represent SAACURH on the NACURH National Board of Directors, the governing board for NACURH.
In addition to the two regional and one national conference, the SEC meets twice at year at their winter and summer summits. The board uses this time to plan for the upcoming year and plan the upcoming conferences. If you are interested in running for a SEC position, please contact the Director.
The Regional Director serves as the Chief Executive
Officer for the region and presides over all meetings of the association.
He serves as a member of the NACURH Inc. National Board of Directors
and fills vacancies through appointment as necessary.
Associate Director for Business Administration (ADBA)
The Associate Director for Business Administration,
more commonly referred to as ADBA, serves as the Chief Financial Officer
for the region. The ADBA will assume the duties of the Director should
the Director be unable to complete his term of office. In addition,
the ADBA serves as the chief policy expert and serves as a member
of the NACURH Inc. National Board of Directors.
The Associate Director for NRHH serves as the Chief Recognition Officer of the region and presides over the NRHH boardroom. They maintain regular contact with member NRHH chapters and the NRHH Regional Associate Directors (RAD) Board. The AD-NRHH is responsible for the coordination of the regional Of The Month (OTM) process as well as the coordination of NRHH as a whole with the RAD Board.
The RAC serves as a link between the NACURH National
Information Center (NIC) and member schools during the affiliations
process. He assists the Regional Director in the recruitment of new
member schools and ensures that affiliating schools are in good standing
prior to the regional conference.
Regional Education and Development Coordinator (REDC)
The REDC is the coordinator for the 9 state associations
and is also resposible for programming within SAACURH. This executive
programs a Summit for the State Directors at No Frills and attends
SEAHO, the professional equivelant of SAACURH.
The RPC is responsible for all written communication
for the region, which specifically includes the website, business
meeting minutes, and the regional newsletter.
The NRHH Advisor is responsible for advising the AD-NRHH. The advisor provides continuity for the NRHH boardroom from year to year and serves a 2-year term (elected on even years at the SAACURH conference).
The Regional Advisor is responsible for advising the SEC. The advisor provides continuity for the NCC boardroom from year to year and serves a 2-year term (elected on odd years at the SAACURH conference).
